California teens sentenced in sadistic bleach attack, rape of elderly woman

Two cold-blooded California teens were sentenced to 30 years in
prison for their “evil deeds” in a sadistic attack on an 87-year-
old woman.

Raymond Miranda, 15, and Ruben Melanson, 16, beat their victim,
sexually assaulted her and poured bleach down her throat before
leaving her for dead.

The woman, confined to a wheelchair since the attack, faced the
two creeps on Friday in Riverside County court.

“I want them to look at me and remember me,” she said, according
to the Riverside Press-Enterprise. “You terrorized me and took
away my independence.”

The woman was asleep in April 2014 when the two snuck into a
senior complex in the small city of Hemet and began torturing
the woman, authorities said.

They reportedly poured two bottles of bleach over her face and
in her mouth, subjecting her to life-threatening chemical burns.

Cops busted Melanson nearby after a short foot chase. They
collared Miranda later after releasing a “wanted” poster for his
arrest. The two were convicted of burglary, elder abuse with
great bodily injury, sexual penetration with a foreign object by
force and rape.

Miranda apologized on Friday during sentencing.

“I’m sorry for going into your house,” he said, according to the
Press-Enterprise. “I don’t expect you to forgive me.”

The woman thanked the boy, the paper reported, but told him
prison is “the price you have to pay for evil deeds.”

The teens will go to a juvenile facility until they’re 18 years
old, and then transfer to an adult prison.
